Five on Friday

1.  We are still putting the finishing touches on Lila's room.  Last weekend Anna Reaghan joined me at the craft store to find a frame for a special picture we have in mind.  Anna Reaghan modeled our final selection. :)

I painted the frame our darkest lavender color (the one we rejected from the wall stripe color scheme) and plan to put a sweet quote on it.  But you'll have to wait and see what that is. :)

2.  I hung the art work I posted about earlier this week.  I love how her room has come together!

the monogrammed canvas on the right will soon have ribbons hanging from the bottom of it to hold Lila's bows. :)  And the black splotch next to/below that is the light switch awaiting a new cover--it started out baseball themed from the previous owners. :)

3.  Matt made his deadline!  He had a project deadline of Wednesday and has spent almost every night and every weekend back at the office for over the past 2 weeks trying to wrap everything up.  We are SO thankful for his hard work, for God helping him finish, AND to have him back!  Asa has been rather indignant about Daddy working on the weekends. :(  To help lighten things up, we have sent him silly face pictures so he "won't be lonely" (Asa's words) when he's back at the office all alone. :)

4.  We are headed out on a date night tonight--will it be our last before Lila joins us??!?  As we have considered where we might want to get dinner, I have been evaluating what sounds good AND contains dairy ingredients I won't be eating after Lila is born.  So far Tupelo Honey is winning--mmmmm, biscuits!!

5.  On Wednesday SWEET friends from my playgroup hosted a diapers and wipes shower for the three of us due in the next few weeks.  They had yummy snacks, a house full of 1 and 2 year olds :), a fun time visiting, and I left with a trunk full of diapers, wipes, and a few onesies embroidered just for Lila. :)  I am so thankful to have met these moms this year and for the ways they have welcomed and included me!!
