He had a rash going on 3 weeks, and it spread from one arm to another--at that point it looked like poison ivy. Then it turned angry and red and spread back to the first arm. The last straw was the rash popping up in his legs, chest, and neck. At that point I was concerned--this was not poison ivy. It turns out he has a viral rash (but not contagious) that incited an eczema flare. Oh boy! ;). He was prescribed an oil that is healing the eczema amazingly quickly, but the rest of the rash could keep spreading for weeks as the virus has to run its course. :/. Thankfully it's not itchy or painful, and I was able to proactively let his preschool teachers know not to worry about the rash spreading to anyone. Poor little guy though! The nurse practitioner was not our FAVORITE Rachel :), but we met Ms Sarah for the first time instead and she was very patient with Asa. He even used her otoscope to check on Blanket, Favorite Puppy, and Dalmatian (who, by the way, was Asa's first show and tell selection). Thankfully Asa's guys have a clean bill of health and Asa is on the mend!
Waiting for Ms Sarah
2. We stopped by McKay's to drop off a load of books I cleaned out... And brought a few of these home. I wish I could record the way AR says princess for you--it's adorable. I'm still trying to decipher how I write her version phonetically. :)
Meanwhile, Asa picked this, citing his cousin Sam:
3. And influenced by both cousin Sam (and his love of NASCAR) and AR's new love of dress up, Asa is rather entranced with this surprise G-Ma found for him. He runs around the house telling me everything he does while wearing this has to be FAST because he is "racer Asa."
4. This morning I pulled out some new to us (thanks, other TN cousins!!) "bunnies" to play with (Calico Critters). They were a hit!
5. And then this afternoon we picked up Daddy for a picnic lunch!!! Hooray for beautiful fall-ish weather (at least, in the shade)!!!
Beverages abandoned in favor of running around. :)

Look who can put on her own shoes!
