Anna Reaghan chose a Cinderella birthday party. It was kind of a jolt to realize she's old enough to have an opinion about what kind of party she wanted! Sniff sniff. Her big request was a cake with "Boboo's carriage" (Boboo is her attempt at bibbity bobbity boo). Once again, off I went to Pinterest during middle of the night feedings. ;) Thankfully AR has a small carriage I knew I could set atop a simple cake as a backup (important since the cake I made for Matt's birthday 2 weeks earlier was an abysmal failure). But I read about an idea to frost two bundt cakes together, one inverted, to make a pumpkin shape. Then in talking to Matt I had the idea to add a dash of pumpkin pie spices to the cake batter to give it a hint of pumpkin flavor, too! I made chocolate wheels, added some frosting, and we came up with this which she loved!! I am so thankful and a little proud that it turned it and actually looks like a carriage. :)
Our princess. Oh she melts my heart.
My sweet friend Kerry and her husband Preston came to AR's party with their daughter Nelly who is only a few months younger than AR. Another blessings of being back "home"--second generation friends! :)
Trying on some "glass slippers" from her cousins. She wears these daily.
Anna Reaghan's "3" photo collage--note the clock set to midnight!
It's certainly not professional, but I put together a little photo prop with face cutouts of Cinderella and Prince Charming. Asa and AR love it. You can see Jack the mouse joined this photo. ;)

Hanging out with Mimi
My favorite of the party foods for how closely it tied to the theme--chocolate candies that PERFECTLY resemble the beads from Cinderella's first dress ensemble
Opening a Katerina Kitty Cat
We hid mouse shadows I cut with my Silhouette Cameo cutting machine around the house and sent the kids on a "mouse hunt" for a party game. They also played hot potato/hot glass slipper.
Princess dresses for any ladies who forgot to bring one :)

A few more nods to Cinderella in the decor--another midnight clock and a little birdie friend (borrowed from Lila's room)
