Too Long Tuesday

SOOOooo, my last post was when Asa first started back to school after Lila was born.  Now he has 6 school days left until summer!  We've been a little busy. ;)  Mostly with this little love.....

Isn't she sweet?!?!

Here's what else we've been up to, bullet style:

  • my grandmother moved here from California and had a grand cross-country adventure thanks to my aunt driving her here with her dog. :)
  • We purchased (in a DOWNPOUR the kids loved to play in) flowers for some baskets on our back deck and planters on the front porch.  Since all our flowers were in moveable containers, they even survived the mid-April frost in the comfort of our garage.  But next year we might wait a few more weeks before planting. ;)
  • Lila will be THREE months old on Thursday.  WHERE is time going?!?  That seems impossible.  She is basically out of newborn clothes (she's been too long for NB onesies for weeks and NB pants are too short but some 3 month pants are a bit roomy in the waist).  I can't believe how quickly time is flying by!
  • We went to the park on a beautiful sunny Saturday.  The kids can't wait to go back.
  • We've tried to go on some family walks in the neighborhood.  That is a crowd-pleaser also.
  • We attended Easter egg hunts with play group, school, and our neighborhood!
  • Our neighbors passed along a GREAT picnic table to us--the kids were in love at first sight and have already had a picnic dessert and picnic dinner at the table.
  • I found dairy free cheese that is actually like cheese and have since enjoyed mac & cheese and  pizza!  It's nice to have a treat now and then. :)  We think I did get into some dairy around Easter (wasn't thinking) and while she didn't react as terribly as her big brother and sister, her tummy was clearly bothered.  So we keep on trucking with the dairy free thing.
  • Anna Reaghan's imagination has EXPLODED.  It is a non-stop circus of entertainment at our house.  Non-stop.  Hilarious.
  • AR also has quite a well-developed sense of humor and loves to make people laugh.  She is very aware of what has earned her laughs in the past and will bring back certain phrases or silly things weeks later trying to elicit more laughs.
  • We plan to move her to a twin bed this summer.  Her birthday is in 2 months.  Where did  my baby go?!?!?
  • Asa wants a Wonder Pets birthday party and Anna Reaghan wants a Cinderella party (it was originally going to be Max & Ruby, but she changed her mind).
  • Anna Reaghan loves to sing.
  • Asa is READING.  Real, legit READING.    He's reading books and he's reading environmental print anywhere and all the time.  It's amazing and so.much.fun.  But our days of spelling words in conversations we don't want him to follow are over. ;)
  • He also discovered Legos. Forget any other toys, Legos it is!
  • We had a round of ear infections that wiped out the big kids.
  • We had a blessed Easter!  Hallelujah!!

  • It was about a year ago that we went under contract on our house.  What a year it has been! :)  So thankful for this house and the people who fiill it. :)
