1. Whew! We made it through another week. I think sometimes just the anticipation of the move wears me out. ;) We close in less than three weeks---YEA (and eeek!)!!! :)
2. In the meantime we have a quick jaunt to see family AND Asa's fourth birthday (how can it be?!)! Today I designed the invitations for his party so we can get them to cousins this weekend. He has requested a "train and sheep" party, so we're running with that. ;) I plan on keeping it low key with the imminent move (we close 4 days after his party), but I hope he will still have a blast and feel so very loved!
3. Matt was incredibly thoughtful and remembered me during a lunch with colleagues today. They were at Chili's, so he added an order of chips and salsa to his ticket and brought them home to me a surprise! What a fun surprise! This weekend is starting off on a yummy note--Matt is also grilling burgers for dinner!
4. No big plans for the weekend other than Matt helping my brother load a moving van tomorrow (my brother is moving within town this month as well!). I would also like to go through the guest room/my sewing things and decide what fabric I really think I'll use. I've acquired some yardage here and there (teachers giving away free things at the end of the year, etc.) that I'm not sure I want to lug through *another* move. We are also hopefully looking at a headboard someone posted on Craigslist that could be great for our guest bed.
5. The kids have been interacting in the van a lot more--in sweet ways, too! They have been holding hands a lot, giving hi fives, and during one errand Asa made Anna Reaghan countless cups of tea with her little tea set they asked to bring in the van. Of course they have plenty of less pleasant moments, but I treasure watching them become friends. :)
