1. On Monday we had the home inspection at the new house. Thankfully nothing major came up--it's a great house like we thought! We gave the sellers a list of some minor repairs and waited to hear their response.
2. Yesterday we spent THREE hours outside! We left the house around 10:30 for a long walk, played in the front yard for an hour after our walk, had a picnic lunch, and then played another hour in the sandbox/back yard. It was WONDERFUL!! I was especially thankful to get the kids a good chunk of outside time yesterday because it is supposed to rain all weekend.
3. Last night after dinner we decided to go to an ice cream shop for a fun surprise. The only other time Asa has had real ice cream was as a celebration when he was officially done with diapers. He ate every bite then, so we expected the same. He chose a bright BLUE cotton candy flavor (oh the artificial dye!) and gummy bears, but even though he taste tasted it first he only ate a few bites. That turned out to be fortunate because those few bites of sugar + dye were enough to make him BONKERS! We decided next time we'll narrow his ice cream flavor choices a liiiiiittle bit more so he will end up with something he actually likes (like the first time). ;) Anna Reaghan enjoyed her own mini sugar cookies, and Matt and I each had a special treat of ice cream too.
4. Last night before bed I checked my email, and we had an email from our realtor. The sellers accepted ALL our repair requests!!! WOO HOOO!!! Now we can order the appraisal and we are right on track to close--hopefully still without any hiccups! :)
5. Anna Reaghan is seeming more and more and more like a little girl and less like a baby. She is growing up entirely too quickly! But she is SO fun!
6. Asa has loved having our sandbox set up again. We filled it last weekend, and he can play in it for probably and hour just playing out different scenarios of construction trucks or monster trucks lost in his imagination. I love to listen to him play. :)
