Five on Friday

1.  Poor Anna Reaghan's teething  misery has escalated to biting... and lots of it (ouch!).  She's even so miserable that when the milk starts flowing, she'll still let go to cry/pull her ear.  Now, before you tell me that ear pulling sounds like an ear infection, we've visited the ped with these symptoms before only to be told her ears were perfectly clear.  If she stops sleeping we'll go in again.  But I think this is just how she teethes. :(  Sweet girl.  I hope this tooth (teeth?) does its "thang" soon so she can have some relief!

2.  Our plan to keep the ipad out of sight (and hopefully out of mind) Monday-Friday is working!  Praise the Lord!  Asa has only asked about it in the evenings if he's heard Matt or I refer to it (instead of spelling it out--oops!), and those times he has gracious accepted our reply that his turn will start on Saturday.  SOOO thankful. :)

3.  This week he's even more excited about jelly beans than the ipad.  I picked up a bag of them at the grocery store on Thursday, and he hugged them all through the store.  He's never had jelly beans, he just knows they are candy and that candy is a rare treat in our house.  He calls them "Easter eggies" and when I told him Saturday he would have a turn to play a game on the ipad, he coyly asked me, "And on Saturday can I have Easter eggies?" when he knows I told him a zillion times SUNday is the day for the Easter eggies. :)

4.  Today at lunch, Asa picked up a left over roll I served him and pretended it was a phone.  He said he wanted to call G-Pa and had an entire conversation with him telling him what Anna Reaghan was doing, asking if he wants to watch Asa dig at the beach, etc.  It was PRECIOUS.
