1. SLEEP Last night, Anna Reaghan woke to eat at 11:30 and then not again until 5:30. This time last week she was waking every 1.5-2 hours, so I am very thankful for nights like last night popping back up. :) Usually she eats more like 11:30 and 3:30, so this was definitely an extra long stretch for her.
2. Anna Reaghan had a shot appointment this morning (yes, I'm one of those crazies who does not follow the AAP's recommended vaccine schedule. Ask me about it if you're curious). When I woke Asa up and started getting him dressed right away, I explained we needed to take Anna Reaghan to see Dr. M this morning. He very emphatically replied, "NO, Anna Reaghan cannot go. It's MY turn to see Dr. M. It's not Anna Reaghan's turn. It's MY turn. She needs to check ME." She sure has made an impression on him! :) Later this afternoon, Asa called Dr. M on his phone and had several conversations with her about his trailers and told her "something's happening" (his favorite phrase for when he can't think of what to say). I wish I had it on video. It was adorable. I'm so thankful for another good pediatrician up here as I was pretty heartbroken to leave our ped in Florida.
3. I have been going through our basement trying to do a clean out. After being in this house a year (next month), I figured we ought to evaluate the necessity of things that stayed in boxes untouched over the past year. I have a huge pile of things to get rid off, several boxes of trash have already been removed, many boxes have been combined leaving empty boxes to flatten, and it feels GOOD. I have a little more to go, and then I'm trying to decide just HOW organized I'm going to be. The organizer in me really wants to number each box and made an inventory of what's in them so I know EXACTLY what box to go when when I need, say, the silver serving platter I received from my dear friend as a wedding gift or our crystal goblets. ;) We had a built in cabinet in our dining room in FL where such things were on display, but in this house those things live in boxes in the basement.
4. This afternoon Asa came up to me, hugged my arm as hard as he could and said, "I love you, Mommy." It doesn't get much better than that. :)
5. We might might might use Matt's long weekend to squeeze in a trip to Ikea. I am VERY excited. :)
