On Saturday Matt wanted to try grabbing a bite for lunch out as a family. We haven't eaten many meals out all 4 of us. We did a few times when Anna Reaghan was still a newborn because she would often sleep through our outings. Now that she likes to nap--and at home--and often around lunchtime--it's harder. ;) But we went for it and it worked! We also stopped by Home Depot on the way home for me to grab a few things for my next project(s) I mentioned. I discovered the uber cheap lumber scrap bin, and I think I'm in love. :) After Asa's nap, Matt took him to Menchie's for a yummy "ice cream" treat (no dairy = sorbet). Asa picked mini marshmallows as his topping and was quite a happy camper during his daddy only outing. :) Too cute.
On Sunday morning we went to church and then came home for lunch. I made spaghetti for lunch for Matt & Asa (still a bit too tomato-y for AR's stomach, so only a tiny bit VERY light on sauce for me). Asa was so cute--in the car on the way home from church I told Asa we were having spaghetti for lunch (he LOVES it). He said, "Nooo! It's day time!" He's used to spaghetti at dinner time and was confused that we would eat it during the day. :) hehe While he napped, we had fun playing with Anna Reaghan. She was talking up a storm and blowing lots of raspberries. :) I took an 8 minute video I'll try to pare down and share soon. :) She has started eating butternut squash and likes it! She has liked everything we have offered so far! I think acorn squash or green beans will be next. :)
The oddest event of the weekend was when our weather took a sudden and drastic turn. It was sunny (for Ohio in the winter) and mild (for Ohio in the winter) one minute, and the next minute snow was POURING down. BIG while fluffy flakes. It lasted about thirty minutes and we had an accumulation of about 1/4 - 1/2 inch covering our yard, sidewalk, driveway, and even sticking to part of the street! The the sun came back out. WILD.
Oh, and I also was able to VACUUM the stairs! Woo hoo! Since Asa is scared of the vacuum and Anna Reaghan is unsure, it's hard to find time to vacuum. I certainly could not maneuver the vacuum on the stairs and hold either of them (like I can if necessary vacuuming anywhere else). There was time on Sunday before the kids went to bed for Matt to sit on the couch with them while I vacuumed really quickly. Happy sigh. :)
