Five on Friday

1.  Today's awesome news is that Asa and AR both took amazing afternoon naps.  Woo hooo!  Asa woke up from an almost 3 hour nap one very happy camper--yea!  And I need to wake AR up and convince her she wants to eat. :)  Hopefully we'll all have a happy evening since the kids should be well rested. :)  What a way to start the weekend!

2.  It's supposed to rain this weekend, so I'm not sure what we'll do.  The playground is out, much to Asa's chagrin.  But maybe we can finalize our new mattress decision!  Matt kept telling me ours was hurting his back while I was pregnant, but I figured if I was pregnant and waking up just fine (not sore), he must just be sleeping wrong.  He's not sleeping wrong.  As soon as I no longer was carrying a baby inside, I could tell too--our mattress is worn out!

3.  Today is the first day of fall!  I bought some fall fabric this week to hopefully make some outfits for the kids--using those pinterest pics as inspiration.  I narrowed down to just 2-3 ideas and decided to save some of the cute dresses (the pumpkin and candy corn ones) for when Anna Reaghan is older in a year or two.

4.  Yesterday I felt like super mom--pot roast in the crock pot, laundry all clean, dried, and folded--and Asa's even put away (still need to put the rest of ours away, but everything's in the right room!), vacuumed and swept the downstairs, dishwasher and drying rack emptied.  You get the idea.  It was nice to catch up on some housekeeping details.

5.  Asa is still so sweet with Anna Reaghan.  He tells her she's cute and pretty (all on his own!  I'm trying to add "beautiful" to the compliments he doles out), sings her "Jesus Loves Me," RUNS to our room to help me scoop her up out of the bassinet when she wakes us, tells her "it's okay, Anna Reaghan" when she's fussing, and would hug her all.day.long if allowed. :)  In return, she GRINS at him when she sees him in the morning.  It's precious to see them "learning" each other.
