Today I am 37 weeks pregnant. I am officially "full term," meaning that whenever I go into labor at this point, the doctors will not try to stop my contractions and keep Anna Reaghan inside longer. Now, we are honestly not expecting (or hoping!) she comes this early... as I've said I'd love a 40 weeker or ever 41 weeks! And our doctor (although only God knows, of course) said she wouldn't be surprised if Anna Reaghan is a little late as well, given Asa's birth and my mom's births. BUT just knowing that whenever it starts, it's show time/go time/baby time at this point is kind of mind boggling!!
Given that technically "she could come any day," I figured it was time to start collecting guesses about Anna Reaghan's arrival. Please leave a comment telling your guesses for her birth: date, weight, length, and time (time is optional ;) ).
To give you all the same information we have, at our 20 week ultrasound Anna Reaghan was measuring 1 day in size behind my due date of July 4th (her size lined up with a baby due July 5th, in other words). We are very sure of our due date--it's not just some ultrasound-based estimate. ;) Our doctor has guessed mid-8s for Anna Reaghan's weight--she thinks she'll be slightly bigger than Asa was. In addition, if you aren't aware, your caregiver measures your fundal height at your prenatal appointments--it's a measurement of the height/length of the uterus and the number of cm generally corresponds with how many weeks pregnant you are (ex. 20 weeks pregnant, usually ~20 cm fundal height). My doctor told me she thought I'd measure small at my last appointment because my belly doesn't stick out as far as many 9 month baby bellies. :) She was surprised to learn I actually measured 1 cm ahead (I was 35 weeks pregnant and I measured 36 cm)--my babies seem to stretch UP my torso instead of poking out as much as many babies do. With Asa, I always measured on.the.dot, and he was 8 lbs. 3 oz., 22 inches, and born at 41 weeks and 6 days.
I will make the first guess, and then we'll go from there! :)
I am guessing: July 8th, 8 lbs. 8 oz., 20 inches, 4:20 PM
Ready, set, GO!! :)

July 6th - 8lbs 6 ozs - 21.5 inches - 2:45 p.m.
Hmmm!Lets see I am going to go with July 11th (the 11th is a great birthday to have!) maybe the 12th. 8lbs 9oz and 21.5 inches long. Woohoo! Come on AR we are so ready to meet your little self!!!
Joy, does the 11th/maybe 12th indicate a baby girl verrry late the 11th/verrrry early on the 12th? You thought Asa was going to come in the middle of the night, too, as I recall. :)
Okay. I think July 9. 8 lb. 14 oz. 21 inches.
July 7, 2:33 pm, 8 lbs 5 oz, 20.5"
