Long Lost Package

Asa's great grandma in California recently let us know she had sent him a package... back in June right before he was born! We searched high and low but had no recollection of it arriving and found no trace of it in or around the house. Hmmmm. Thankfully, she sent it UPS so we got some details about its delivery. Even though she wrote our correct address on the box, the UPS employee asked if she'd sent anything to us in the past, and since she had he used the address in their system.... our address at the apartment.

We were given the initials of someone at the apartment complex who signed for the package, as well as the date and time it was signed for. I called this week to wonderful news--they had our package! This happened a year or two ago, and at that time we were told the office no longer accepted packages. I was very surprised to learn the office is accepting packages again and still had ours (though I'm SUPER thankful it was there, wouldn't you choose "return to sender" when 3 months have passed by?!?).

Asa and I went to pick it up the end of last week, and he has such sweet new things to cuddle with from G.G., Auntie Laine, Uncle Adolfo, and Sarah.

Here is the beautiful afghan that G.G. made for Asa!

Auntie Laine, Uncle Adolfo, and Sarah sent him a downy soft blue blankie with a puppy on it and a wonderful Christmas book! I can't wait for Asa's first Christmas and to read it with him.... celebrating Jesus coming to Earth as a baby--with MY baby!

Thank you all for thinking of us! We love you!
