Anna Reaghan is definitely on the front end of the big language explosion most children reach around 18-ish months. Her vocabulary is ramping up, and it's so.much.fun to see her figure out new things, decide on how to say what is important to her, and communicate her thoughts (and wishes and desires) and DELIGHT over being understood. :)
For my own sake of remembering and recording Anna Reaghan's growth and development, here's a list of what she's saying so far at 17 months:
bay = baby
Es = Sammy
Ace or Say = Asa
Mama = Mama
Da = Daddy
Nah/Nana = banana
ights = lights (ceiling lights, table lamps, nightlight, Christmas lights)
esh = yes
hi = hi
baw = ball
some kind of /sh/ combination :) = shoes
nah = Nana
paw = Poppy
yeah = yeah/yes
ush = (tooth)brush
aste = (tooth)paste
suh/sus = Jesus
men = Amen
arf (sounds more like owf, hehe :) )
meow (in the most adorable high pitched little squeak)
(sometimes) moo
She also signs:
more
please
help me
eat/drink
thank you
It's so fun to hear her add to her list! :)

That little mind goes a mile a minute. I can't wait til she can SAY all the things she is thinking. She sure is GREAT at helping you figure it out...even now. :)
