Here's a little glimpse of our sweet girl at 3 months:
- weight, length, and head circumference: she has a check up next month, so we'll have to wait til then :) She HAS outgrown the Miracle Blanket's length though!
- diapers: size 1
- clothes: 0-3s and 3 months. Some 3 month outfits are just barely (or not quite) long enough
- hair: getting even longer, still has some reddish tones to it. Still hasn't lost her newborn hair, so I think she'll keep her hair (like Asa did)
- her happiest time is in the morning after she wakes up for the day
- her longest nap opportunity is usually the afternoon nap (which happens to overlap with Asa's nap... coincidence? I think not). ;)
- still swaddled for naps and night, but her legs are left out of the swaddle now that she's so.long.
- still enjoys baths, at least once the warm water is on her and she realizes it's going to be pleasant
- awake stretches are usually closer to 1.5-2 hours before a nap
- eats about every 3 hours during the day, unless she takes that extra long afternoon nap
- sometimes she naps in the late afternoon/early evening. If she doesn't, she is MORE than ready to zonk between 7-7:30. She's not down for the night yet then, but she's desperate to begin her evening naps
- night time is usually 7/8ish hours between feedings at the shortest or 11 hours at the longest
- that does NOT mean we're sleeping in stretches that long. She tends to wake every 2-2.5 hours with gas. Just.like.Asa. Anyone know how to make a baby with a stomach of steel? We'd like to figure that out before our next adventure in newborn-land (Lord willing). ;)
- she does not prefer to nap in the swing anymore, but it IS a place she will relax while I run to the bathroom or put clean clothes away.
- she has taken a handful of morning naps in her crib upstairs. That is my next goal, because it would be SO much quieter for her and her sleep would be less likely to be disturbed by her big brother :)
- nighttime is still in the bassinet in our room (closet), but she is getting awfully long for it. I'm hoping she resolves/outgrows the nighttime gas issues before she outgrows the bassinet. :)
- she still loves to be worn in the Beco carrier :) YEA!!
- she doesn't mind riding in her carseat on the stroller (love Baby Jogger!)
- her eyes are still blue
- she doesn't mind the carseat unless she's hungry or tired (but try to hit all the green lights)
- she gets the "angry/tired" red eyebrows when she's really sleepy
- she has discovered her hands, and are they ever fun to suck on!
- she is fascinated by her feet :)
- she holds her head up very high :)
- she smiles huge grinning smiles every day
- we have a laugher now! :) It's too cute. :)
- she has been mildly fussy and uncomfortable after 2 of her 3 shots (we only give one at a time and space them out). :( Asa never, ever reacted to shots, so it is new territory for us.
- she stays with us for church on Sundays but plays in the nursery for at least half of Bible study on Wednesdays
We love you, Anna Reaghan!!!
