Today, you are 7 months old. I think on this "side" of 6 months, the time is going to fly. It feels like a very steep "down"hill to one year. I am holding on as tight as I can--what a ride!
We had a sweet day as a family... our first in about 2 weeks since Daddy has been working on deadlines during the week and was in Miami for work last weekend. You and I started the day together at 8 as usual. ;) After your morning nap, we had lunch together at Applebee's and then ran 2 errands. You totally skipped your afternoon nap while we were out, but you ate when we got home and played for over an hour before finally crashing. While you slept, Daddy and I played "pick up sticks" in the front yard. We recently had a storm that blew a ton of sticks and twigs down into the front yard. Once you were up and fed again, you played with Daddy while I took a shower (hip hooray for a non-rushed, don't-have-to-worry-about-y0u-waking-up-or-getting-bored shower!). Ahhhh, it was SO nice. But the BEST part came after I was done. You and Daddy were waiting in our room when I was all fresh and clean. :) Daddy told me you had done something new! He said YOU said, "Mama!" I thought he was kidding, but then you said it!! I couldn't believe my ears!!! And when I stepped back into the bathroom to get a towel for my hair, you said it again until I came back to you! You definitely made your 7 month birthday a day I will NEVER forget! :) Music to my ears (and heart). :) When I told G-Pa, he asked if I was walking around with a grin from ear-to-ear afterward, and I certainly was!

p.s. I think Sammy figured after 7 months of you being here that you must be staying for good because she finally welcomed you with a kiss on the cheek!
