Tonight, Asa laughed for the first time! He was totally losing it, and he'd been up long enough that he could get ready for bed. So I took him up, turned on his cousin's caterpillar (thank you, Brad and Joy! He seems as mesmerized as sister was!), and started the diaper/pj routine. He calmed as soon as he started listening to the caterpillar. After I changed his diaper, I decided to try zerberting his tummy. We've done it before, and while he didn't seem to mind he didn't do backflips either. But tonight... tonight was different! After a couple of zerberts, he laughed. Not just a squeak or squeal (though those are adorable), but a real laugh. He laughed several more times as I kept zerberting him. HOW FUN. We will try to get it on video soon. :)
Asa also rolled from his back to his stomach and then back again all by himself this morning. He steam-rolled right over his arm. It was amazing. He spends all day lifting his legs and rolling onto his side and back. Gone are the days of setting him on the bed while I get dressed or put my contacts on. He's fast!
Lastly, with Asa's affinity for rolling and squirming, he decided to try launching himself from the bouncy seat today. Crazy boy! Doesn't he know the floor would be a hard place to land?
It's sweet to see him learning and his curiosity increasing as he notices more and more around him and more and more about himself. :)

So many fun first! Way to grow Asa!!! Sister loved that little caterpillar many...times it was the only way that we could settle her down while changing diapers or when she was crying. So excited that Asa loves him as well! ;)
